Flashback! Vincent & Kerin’s Engagement at Millbrook Winery

With their wedding week upon us, I am scrolling through this sweet couples surprise proposal that I had the honor of capturing 2 years ago. They wanted a signature book for their wedding day, using their engagement photos on the pages in which their guests will sign, so just adding finishing touches as we all get ready for their big day!

Vincent popped the question at Millbrook Winery in upstate New York. When they first visited that winery a year prior, they decided to hike up the mountain on the property to see the view. They braved the blistering heat and steep incline, then found a shady spot at the highest point of the vineyard. For several hours, they enjoyed laughs and an amazing view on a truly picturesque day. It was during those moments that Vincent realized Kerin was the one. A year later, they made their way back to that same shady spot. Vincent got down on one knee, and I hid amidst the vines so I could be there to capture the whole surprise on camera. Afterwards we had a mini-portrait session of the newly engaged couple, before they started to head back to New Jersey where Kerin was surprised with an engagement dinner with their families and friends.

Knowing Vincent for over a decade now, it was special getting to photograph this unforgettable moment for him, and can’t wait to now be there for their wedding day!
