Aly & Franz’s Innis Arden Golf Club Wedding in Old Greenwich, CT

When a wedding celebration unfolds across some of the most beautiful locations in Fairfield County, it creates a story worth documenting from beginning to end.

Aly and Franz’s journey began with a golden fall engagement session at Tod’s Point in Fall 2024, continued with a warm and welcoming rehearsal dinner at Stamford Yacht Club, and culminated in their joyful September 2025 wedding day at Innis Arden Golf Club.

As a Greenwich, Connecticut wedding photographer, documenting a full wedding journey like this allows us to capture not just a single day, but the anticipation, connection, and celebration that builds over time.

Welcome Dinner at Stamford Yacht Club

Their wedding weekend celebrations commenced the night before the wedding with a rehearsal and welcome dinner at Stamford Yacht Club.

Located along the Long Island Sound, the yacht club provided a beautiful waterfront setting for family and friends to gather ahead of the wedding day. The evening was filled with heartfelt toasts, laughter, and the excitement that always builds the night before a wedding.

Documenting welcome dinners is something we always encourage couples to consider. These moments are often more intimate and relaxed, allowing us to capture interactions between families and friends that might otherwise go unseen.

Getting Ready at Innis Arden Golf Club

The morning began at Innis Arden Golf Club, where Aly and Franz spent the early part of the day getting ready with their closest friends and family.

These are often some of our favorite moments to photograph — unscripted, relaxed, and filled with the small interactions that tell the story of the day before the ceremony even starts.

Franz and the groomsmen gathered in the club’s golf simulator room — jackets draped over chairs, ties being adjusted, and a few swings taken between conversations as everyone settled into the day. The hours before the ceremony tend to move slowly, with people arriving, small moments unfolding, and the quiet anticipation that builds before everything begins.

Ceremony at First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich

Aly and Franz were married at First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich, a beautiful and historic church in the heart of Old Greenwich.

With its classic New England architecture and warm interior, the church provided a timeless setting for their ceremony. Surrounded by family and friends, Aly and Franz exchanged vows in a moment that felt both intimate and deeply meaningful.

Reception at Innis Arden Golf Club

Following the ceremony, guests gathered back at Innis Arden Golf Club for an elegant and joyful reception.

Surrounded by lush greens and sweeping views of the golf course, the venue created a beautiful backdrop for the evening’s celebration. From heartfelt speeches to a packed dance floor later in the night, the reception perfectly reflected the energy and love surrounding Aly and Franz.

For us as photographers, weddings like this are about more than beautiful portraits. They’re about capturing the fleeting expressions, spontaneous laughter, and genuine interactions that truly define the day.

Turning the Wedding Weekend Into an Heirloom Album

One of the most meaningful parts of this experience came after the wedding.

Our studio manager Jessica worked closely with Aly to design a custom 12×12 leather-bound heirloom wedding album that tells the story of the entire weekend — from the welcome dinner at Stamford Yacht Club through the reception at Innis Arden.

Shortly after receiving the album, Aly shared this message with us:

“We received our wedding album today and we can’t get over how amazing it is!!! The album and all the photos turned out SO beautifully and it is truly the best keepsake that we will treasure forever.”

There’s something timeless about sitting down together and turning real pages.
