The Ultimate Wedding Trends of 2024: Your Guide to the Most Stylish and Memorable Celebrations!

New year, new trends! And let’s face it, who doesn’t love new and fresh ideas for their big day? We’ve gathered a list of our top wedding trends for 2024, and some we’ve already been seeing in recent weddings we’ve photographed. From bridesmaids in a variety of different dresses, cuts and patterns, to monochromatic flowers and mini-desserts- we’re really excited about it all! And yes, champagne towers are making a big comeback!

Monochromatic Flowers

An inseparable duo, flowers and weddings just go together! For 2024, we are obsessing over the trend of a single color palette. Surprisingly, a single-color palette brings a powerful impact, whether your bouquet is mini or a grandiose display. If you prefer variety, try florals in the same color but a variety of shades for more of an ombre effect.

Bridesmaid Dresses: A Variety of Patterns, Cuts & Colors

After deciding on your dress for your big day the next step is to find something you love just as much for your bridal party! For spring & summer, bridesmaids dresses with a pop of pattern or florals are a big trend. Additionally, neutral shades like champagne, taupe and black are becoming increasingly popular, as well as versatile and simple silhouettes that can be worn again after the wedding. The days of matchy-matchy are gone for now, and this is a fresh new take on bridesmaids dresses! With a variety of cuts, colors and silhouettes, everyone can embody a different dress while looking radiant alongside each other, and you!

Exchanging Vows Privately

Traditionally, couples have been professing their vows amongst friends and family during the ceremony. For those who are more shy, this might be a favorite trend of yours! Consider sharing your vows privately, just amongst one another prior to the ceremony. If you’re thinking of having a first look, that could be the perfect time to share your vows intimately just the two of you.

Mini Everything!

Everything from mini French fries, to mini dresses and mini desserts is on trend for 2024. You can incorporate bite-sized deserts, mini drinks, mini bouquets- whatever you’d like!

Textured Cakes

Anything from lace to pleats or maybe something to match the texture of your dress, this is a beautiful new trend we love! It is also trending to get multiple smaller cakes, or just simple vintage inspired cakes. And who said your cake needs to be white?

Audio Guest Books

Instead of having guests sign a book, grab one of these fun vintage recording machines and guests can have fun leaving you messages to play back and listen to together! This will be a treasured keepsake for you both, and you will be happy to hear everyones voices leaving you sweet and funny messages for years to come.

Interactive Entertainment

First things first- book that band or DJ! After you’ve got that covered, think about other interactive entertainment for your guests that you’d like to include. Whether it be a sketch artist, a live painter, a photo booth, light up foam sticks for the dance floor or a cigar rolling station- your guests are sure to love this out of the box add-on of fun!

Secret Cocktail Menus And Late Night Surprises

Who doesn’t love a late night snack?! Long after dinner and dancing the night away, think about having some late night bites! Anything from tacos to pizza or fries and sliders- everyone is sure to love this casual snack. And you can do this in lieu of favors!

Of course we could keep going, but this sums up our top favorite wedding trends for 2024. The best part about these is that they’re simple to incorporate whether it be a small intimate wedding, or 300+ guests! If you are looking for wedding photography contact us here, we would love to be considered to photograph your special day!
