Hanging with these girls during their portrait session really brought back childhood memories when school's out and summer is in full swing. Summertime's all about playing outside, going for a swim, and just enjoying the break with siblings & friends before it's time to go back to school. It always felt like summer went by so fast and by the time you know it, it's the end of August and you're at field hockey practice getting ready for the new school year. Luckily, this session took place during the first week of summer and these girls were full of joy, ready to shoot! I had lots of fun photographing these beautiful sisters and their unique personalities.
The girls were so patient with me from beginning to end and I look forward to seeing them again during our family shoot in the fall. The beautiful grounds overlooking the water provided a great variety of scenery for shooting locations. Check out some of my favorite captures of the carefree joys of summer outside their home in Darien, CT:
"Side by side, or miles apart, we are SISTERS, connected by the HEART."
These girls were so much fun to photograph and also very talented (Did you see them on the unicycle?)! Hope you enjoyed these summer portraits. I'll leave you with this quote:
“Ah, summer – that long anticipated stretch of lazy, lingering days, free of responsibility and rife with possibility. It’s a time to hunt for insects, master handstands, practice swimming strokes, conquer trees, explore nooks and crannies, and make new friends.” - Darrell Hammond
