A Stunning Winter Surprise Proposal in the Scenic Gramercy Park, NYC
Over the weekend I had the honor of photographing a surprise proposal at Gramercy Park in NYC. Daniel reached out to us a few months ago to begin planning this special moment, and after working together to consider a few different locations, he landed on Gramercy Park.
On the morning of “proposal day”, I arrived at the park early to meet Daniel’s friend who helped plan the proposal and capture the scene. The park was so peaceful that winter morning. Daniel arrived soon after with his girlfriend, Rachel, who was completely unaware of the surprise that awaited her.
As soon as they reached the exact spot Daniel chose, I captured the first moment of surprise on Rachel’s face. I snapped away as he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said “YES!”
After proposing, Daniel then surprised his bride-to-be with a denim jacket embroidered with her future last name, and a little accessory for their dog too! They joyously FaceTimed their loved ones afterwards to share the exciting news. He planned out every detail with such thoughtfulness and did such a wonderful job! Congrats again, Daniel and Rachel and thank you for choosing me to capture this special moment!
