A Two Day Wedding Celebration: Priya & Mohan’s Indian Wedding Ceremony

It’s been two weeks since we had the honor of photographing Priya & Mohan’s wedding, and we are still blown away from the beauty that was their special weekend tying the knot! I first met Priya when I photographed her brothers wedding last year. Over the winter we met at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, CT to photograph their engagement, and in the blink of an eye their wedding was upon us!

Filled with rich traditions, they had an Indian ceremony on Saturday, followed by their reception on Sunday. Here is a sneak peek of some of our favorite images from Day 1!

Priya was a vision, glowing with happiness and a radiant beauty. She wore gold temple jewelry, flowers so elegantly placed throughout her hair and most special of all- her grandmother’s saree. The love and happiness between them filled the room, and it is so heartwarming to see it shine through every photo.

Following the ceremony she had a Guyanese outfit change. Her lehenga was customized to have her grooms Telugu handwriting on her duputta. They so carefully and thoughtfully incorporated so many special details into their wedding day, and it was magical to be a part of. Check out Day 2 celebrating their wedding reception here!
