Regina Calcaterra Discusses Her Best-Selling Book: “Etched in Sand”

Last Thursday night, March 19th, Concordia College hosted their "Books & Coffee" program at the Sommer Center featuring guest speaker and best-selling author, Regina Calcaterra who discussed her latest book, Etched in Sand.

I was honored to be invited to photograph the presentation and had the opportunity to listen to Regina's powerful story. I was touched and absorbed by her words and her ability to paint us a picture of her painful childhood, so much so that I wanted to tell others about her story shortly after the shoot. She shared how she and her 4 siblings were left alone for weeks at a time and had to struggle to survive.

The experiences Calcaterra shared were so detailed and captivating - it was amazing to see the audience react to certain real-life scenarios she described. Thanks to Concordia & Regina Calcaterra for hosting this event.
